Fencing
- Secure Fencing: The park features sturdy fencing that effectively separates the areas for large and small dogs, ensuring safety and reducing the chances of any accidents or altercations.
- Double-Gated Entries: Both areas have double-gated entries, providing an added layer of security as dogs enter and exit the park. This design helps prevent dogs from slipping out unexpectedly.
- Height and Material: The fences are of appropriate height to prevent even the most agile dogs from jumping over. Made from durable materials, they are built to withstand wear and tear over time.
- Fence Maintenance: Regular maintenance ensures the fences remain in good condition, minimizing the risk of any breaches that could compromise the safety of the dogs.
Distractions
- Pea Gravel Surface: The park’s surface is primarily pea gravel, which some dogs may take time to adjust to. However, it helps reduce mud and dirt, keeping dogs cleaner during playtime.
- Agility Obstacles: Ramps, tunnels, and other agility obstacles are available, providing physical and mental stimulation for dogs. These features are particularly popular among active dogs who enjoy a bit of a challenge.
- Nearby Splash Pad: While not directly within the dog park, the adjacent splash pad can serve as a pleasant distraction for families visiting with children. It adds to the overall appeal of the area.
- Noise and Traffic: The park is generally quiet, with minimal traffic noise, allowing dogs to focus on play without being startled by loud sounds.
Amenities
- Restrooms: Restrooms are conveniently located next to the park, making it easy for dog owners and families to access facilities without leaving the park area.
- Picnic Tables and Benches: Numerous picnic tables and benches are scattered throughout the park, providing comfortable spots for owners to relax while keeping an eye on their pets.
- Water Stations: Water fountains and hoses are available, ensuring dogs stay hydrated during their visit. The park also features a kiddie pool for dogs who enjoy splashing around.
- Parking: Ample parking is available close to the park, making it easy for visitors to find a spot even during busy times. The proximity to the parking area is convenient for those with older dogs or large equipment.
- Pavilion: A pavilion over the picnic area offers shade and protection from the sun, making it a comfortable spot for gatherings or simply taking a break.

- Pea Gravel Surface: The gravel surface is effective in minimizing mud and dirt, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the park. However, some visitors have noted that it may not be ideal for all dogs.
Hazards
- Pea Gravel Consideration: While the pea gravel surface has its advantages, it can be a bit rough on some dogs’ paws, particularly those not used to this type of terrain.
- Dog Waste: Despite the park’s general cleanliness, there have been occasional complaints about dog waste not being picked up, posing a potential hazard to other dogs and visitors.
- Agility Equipment: While the agility equipment is a great feature, dog owners should supervise their pets to prevent any injuries, especially with younger or less agile dogs.

8 months agoMy favorite dog. Friendly crowd and well behaved dogs. Two separate areas for large and small dogs. Well maintained and most owners help keep it clean by picking up their dog's poop. Have to say large dog area less so.
