About the Dog Park
Mizner Bark Dog Park, located at 751 Banyan Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33431, United States, is a well-maintained, spacious park with four separate areas based on dog size. With plenty of shade and grassy spaces, it’s an ideal spot for dogs to play off-leash and socialize. Water fountains, seating, and shaded areas provide comfort for both dogs and owners. However, a parking pass is required, which can be obtained from the city. Despite occasional issues like break-ins, the park’s friendly atmosphere and clean facilities make it a favorite among locals.
Fencing
- Secure and Divided: The park features secure fencing with four distinct areas based on dog size (small, medium, large, and extra-large). Each section has double-gated entrances to prevent accidental escapes.
- Good Separation: The divisions help in managing dog interactions, reducing the risk of conflicts between different-sized dogs.
- Safety Measures: The multiple gates ensure an added layer of security, especially for first-time visitors who might find the layout a bit tricky initially.
Distractions
- Busy Environment: The park can get quite crowded, especially on weekends, which might be distracting for dogs that are sensitive to noise and activity.
- Varied Social Interactions: Regular visitors allow dogs to form social bonds, though the bustling environment might be overwhelming for some.
- Potential Hazards: On crowded days, keeping a close eye on your dog is essential to avoid any incidents with more aggressive dogs, as not all owners may manage their pets responsibly.
Amenities
- Water Stations: There are multiple water fountains designed for both dogs and humans. The lower fountains are convenient for dogs, though some may be hesitant to use them.
- Shaded Seating Areas: Plenty of shaded benches are available for dog owners, making it a comfortable place to relax while dogs play.
- Clean-Up Stations: The park is equipped with poop bag dispensers, ensuring that cleaning up after pets is convenient.
- Wash Area: A designated hose area allows owners to rinse off their dogs before leaving, which is particularly useful after rainy days when the park can get muddy.
- Restrooms: Portable toilets are located at the park entrance for visitor convenience.
Pricing
- Parking Pass Required: Visitors must have a parking pass, which can be obtained for free by Boca Raton residents from the community center or city hall. Non-residents may need to pay a fee.
- Additional Costs: While the park itself is free to use, securing the parking pass is a necessary step for anyone planning to drive to the location.
Cleanliness
- Well-Maintained Grounds: The park is known for its cleanliness, with regular maintenance ensuring that the grassy areas, paths, and seating areas are kept in good condition.
- Scheduled Maintenance: The park closes until noon on Wednesdays for maintenance, ensuring that the facilities remain in top shape for visitors.
- Community Responsibility: Most visitors are diligent about picking up after their pets, contributing to the park’s overall cleanliness.
Hazards
- Break-ins: There have been reports of car break-ins in the parking areas, even on crowded days. Visitors are advised not to leave valuables in their vehicles.
- Aggressive Dogs: While rare, some visitors have reported encounters with aggressive dogs, particularly in the smaller dog areas. Owners need to monitor their pets closely.
Extras Rules
- Leash Requirements: Dogs must be on a leash when entering and exiting the park but can run freely within the designated areas.
- Parking Regulations: Ensure you have the required parking pass to avoid fines or other issues. Check local regulations for up-to-date information.
- Behavioral Expectations: While there are no specific rules regarding aggressive dogs, owners are expected to manage their pets responsibly to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Community Safety Rules
- Friendly Atmosphere: The park is known for its friendly community, with regulars who often engage in conversations while their dogs play. This sense of community contributes to the overall safety and enjoyment of the park.
- Vigilance: Given past incidents, park visitors are encouraged to remain vigilant both inside the park and in the parking areas. Reporting suspicious behavior can help maintain the park’s safe environment.

2 months agoMizner Bark Dog Park is a paradise for pups and their owners! I recently took my dog there, and we both had an incredible time. The park is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of room for dogs to run and play. There are separate areas for different-sized dogs, which is great for safety and comfort. The other dog owners were friendly, and it was clear that everyone appreciated the park's welcoming atmosphere. My dog had a blast, and I loved seeing her so happy and social. Mizner Bark is definitely our new favorite spot!

6 months agoI always take my dog to Sunset Cove and we decided to try the Mizner dog park, and a park with 4 large areas, separated by the weight of the dog, the park is large and very beautiful, wooded, with facilities for walking your dogs. The only negative point is parking, as you must have a parking pass that is purchased in the city of Boca Raton.

3 years agoThis is one of our absolute favorite places to be! Fun. Clean. Well maintained. A perfect place to watch your furry friend run and play in the safety of a large grassy space. Don't forget Wednesday mornings are always reserved for maintenance so the park doesn't open until 12pm...this is only on Wednesdays! Enjoy...surely we will see you soon! 🐶

a year agoVery nice secluded dog park with multiple areas for different sized dogs. Can get pretty crowded with people and you need to have a permit to use the parking lots. Note there is both parking in the front and on the side of the park. Last time I visited there was a break-in to one of the parked cars where the thieves smashed the side window and grabbed some items in broad daylight on a crowded day. It only takes them a few seconds and nobody noticed so please make sure you don't leave anything visible. Otherwise everyone always seems very friendly and there's always plenty of conversations going on.
