Fencing
- Secure and Divided Areas: The park is divided into two sections, one for small dogs and one for larger dogs, ensuring a safe play environment. The fencing is sturdy and well-maintained, with gates that close securely to prevent any accidental escapes.
- Double-Gated Entry: The double-gated entry system adds an extra layer of security, allowing owners to safely enter and leash or unleash their dogs before entering the main park area.
Distractions
- Natural Surroundings: The park is surrounded by lush greenery and ponds, providing a scenic backdrop that adds to the overall peaceful ambiance. Birds singing in the trees can be a pleasant distraction for both dogs and their owners.
- Playmates Galore: The park is seldom empty, meaning there’s always another dog to play with. This social environment is great for dogs that enjoy the company of others, although it can be a bit overwhelming for more timid pets.
- Obstacles and Toys: While some visitors have noted the absence of an agility course, there are still a few obstacles and toys available for dogs to interact with, which can help keep them entertained.
Amenities
- Water Stations: The park is equipped with water hoses and dishes to keep your dog hydrated during playtime. Kiddie pools are also available for dogs to cool off on hot days.
- Seating: Adirondack chairs and benches are scattered throughout the park, providing plenty of comfortable spots for owners to relax and watch their dogs play.
- Restrooms: There are public restrooms nearby, though some visitors have mentioned that they are a bit outdated.
- Parking: The park offers plenty of parking spaces, with some areas shaded to keep your car cool while you enjoy the facilities.
Pricing
- Free Access: Access to the dog park is free of charge, making it an affordable option for regular visits.
- Value for Amenities: Considering the park’s features like water stations, seating, and spacious areas for dogs, it offers great value for a no-cost outing.
Cleanliness
- Well-Maintained Grounds: The park is generally clean, with regular maintenance to keep the grounds in good condition. However, some visitors have noted that irresponsible owners occasionally leave dog waste behind, so it’s important to watch your step.
- Sanitation Facilities: Plastic bags are available for waste disposal, and there are designated areas for waste bins. However, it’s recommended to bring your own bags just in case the supply runs low.
Hazards
- Sandy Terrain: The large dog area is quite sandy, which can be a bit of a nuisance, especially after rain when the ground can become muddy.
- Ants and Insects: Due to the Florida climate, ants can become a problem in certain areas of the park, particularly after rainfall. It’s advisable to bring insect repellent to protect yourself and your pet.
- Fallen Trees: There have been reports of fallen trees that have damaged some of the park’s structures, like the dog ramp. These hazards are usually addressed quickly, but it’s something to be aware of.
Extras Rules and Community Safety Rules
- Dog Behavior: All dogs must be well-behaved and under the control of their owners at all times. Aggressive behavior is not tolerated, and dogs should be leashed when entering and exiting the park.
- Leash Laws: Dogs are not allowed in other areas of the recreation complex, and must remain leashed outside the designated dog park area.
- Owner Responsibilities: Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs and ensure they have up-to-date vaccinations before visiting the park.

8 months agoMy girls love this place while I have 1 that doesn't enter the dog park we usually walk around the fields. My yorkie baby can never contain her excitement. You can hear her a mile away but once inside shes a goner #freedom lol. She also loves running alongside the bigger dogs. This helps her and her new buddy burn tons of energy FAST

9 months agoBig and clean park for big dogs. There is plastic bags and water available, also chairs and table to sit down. You have a public bathroom near to the place. But there is too sandy in the big dogs side. Also, dogs are not allowed in any other area of the complex.

a year agoMy husband and I were there mainly to bring our 2 Australian shepherds to play.We found that the large dog side was not very nice at all. Mostly dirt and very very little shade. The small dog side had lots of grass places to sit and even things for dogs to learn to do tricks with. It was our first time to be there and I don't know if we come back or not.

a month agoLove this place for what it is. Just wish they had a better playground. Communication during sports leagues can be better - specifically when it rains due to "field conditions".
