6 months agoAnother stop on our journey from MI to Naples, FL. Dogs loved all the squirrels. We didn't stay long due to humidity. Dogs didn't need another "run" but we did so anyway for potty stop & to check out all the comments about the squirrels. LOL We found Florida dog parks are best visited early a.m. before noon due to heat & humidity. Pretty close to I-75 which is why we made the stop.

a week agoThis is a GREAT dog park, if the county would re-open it! 🤷🏻♀️It had some fallen trees and debris after hurricane Helene and it never got picked up so they just put a lock on the gate and left it. Then after hurricane Milton it was even worse and still nothing but a lock on the gate, no clean up. nobody working there …no information-nothing. It’s been months now. 100’s of people use the dog park. It’s always busy. I keep attempting to take my dogs there hoping it’s reopened, since website CLEARLY says OPEN and we have to turn around and leave. At least mark it closed on website so people don’t drive there for nothing. Tons of people have been showing up with their pups all excited and having to turn around and leave! Poor dogs don’t understand a lock on the gate. So it is POINTLESSLY sitting there not in use!!! It would be fantastic if something could be done. Or if we at least knew when it might be able to be used again. Taxpayers money hard at work!!!
