Key Features:

  • Fencing: The park is an open space without fencing, so it’s important for dog owners to ensure their pets are well-behaved and responsive to commands.
  • Distractions: The park is a vast plain, which reduces distractions and makes it easier for dogs to focus on play and exercise. However, it lacks trees, so there is minimal shade.
  • Amenities:
  • Parking: There are two parking lots available, accommodating the high number of visitors and making parking convenient.
  • Trails: Numerous trails wind through the park, offering varied routes for walking.
  • Views: The park offers beautiful mountain views, enhancing the overall experience for visitors.

  • Hazards: Rattlesnakes have been spotted in the area, especially during certain times of the year. The park has caution signs in the parking lot, and visitors are advised to stick to the trails and remain vigilant. If a rattlesnake is encountered, it’s important to back away calmly and inform others.
  • Extras:
  • The park is popular and can get busy, especially during peak times.
  • It’s recommended to visit in the morning or evening during hot summer days due to the lack of shade.

Community Safety Rules:

  • Dogs are allowed off-leash but must be under control at all times.
  • Owners should leash their dogs if they are not friendly with other dogs, especially when other pets are around.
  • Always clean up after your dog to maintain park cleanliness.
  • Be aware of and respect local wildlife, such as rattlesnakes, and follow posted warnings and guidelines.
  • Communicate with fellow dog owners to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.

I wish I live close this park cause it's perfect to go for a walk without having your dog on leash! It's a vast plain that our fur ones would totally enjoy running around and play with other dogs.

This dog park has been around for 20 years and is an amazing, safe, and clean place for well-behaved dogs, cyclists, families, children, disabled who need ADA access, photographers, bird watchers, and more! Highly-advise you come here. The entrance on the Simms side has access to a seasonal irrigation ditch for dogs to cool off in and play. The entrance from 100th street has a bit more parking, and has stunning views of the Flatirons. HIGHLY-RECOMMEND. Superior to small neighborhood dog parks where poop is neglected because people come and sit on a bench and look at their phones. HERE, people are actively recreating with their dogs and are good stewards of the park, picking up poop.

No trees here but it's very large and a great open space to take your dogs to. Not recommended to go to on a hot summer day unless its the evening or morning. Lots of trails to walk your furry friends on. Also has 2 parking lots which is nice cause this park can get very busy

Great open space dog park. It’s not too crowded which is fantastic for a quick outdoor walk with the pups after work without fighting for parking since.
