The park is known for its cleanliness, friendly community, and variety of facilities to ensure a fun and safe experience for all.

Fencing

  • Separate Areas: The park has distinct sections for small dogs (under 25 lbs) and large dogs, ensuring a safe environment for all sizes.
  • Secure Enclosures: Both areas are well-fenced, providing a secure space for dogs to play off-leash without the risk of escaping.
  • Double-Gate System: Entry and exit points have a double-gate system to prevent accidental escapes and ensure a smooth transition in and out of the park.

Distractions

  • Nearby Playgrounds: Less than 100 yards from the dog park is a playground, which can be a source of distraction for dogs sensitive to children’s noises.
  • Frisbee Golf Course: Adjacent to the park is a popular frisbee golf course, which might attract the attention of dogs with a high prey drive.
  • Wildlife: Being near a preserve and lake, occasional wildlife sightings could distract curious dogs.

Amenities

  • Shade and Seating: The park is well-shaded with large trees, offering a cool retreat even on hot days. Benches are available for pet owners to relax.
  • Water Stations: Fresh water stations and hoses are available for dogs to drink and rinse off after play.
  • Toys and Balls: The park provides shared toys, balls, and a kiddie pool for dogs to enjoy.
  • Restrooms: There are well-maintained public restrooms nearby for visitors.
  • Walking Trails: Scenic trails around the lake and through the preserve provide opportunities for leashed walks.

Pricing

  • Free Access: Clermont Dog Park is free to the public, making it an accessible and affordable option for dog owners.

Cleanliness

  • Regular Maintenance: The park is kept clean with regular maintenance. Poo stations and waste bags are available throughout the park.
  • Ground Conditions: While generally clean, the park can get muddy after rain due to the lack of grass in some areas.

Hazards

  • Muddy Areas: Post-rain conditions can create muddy patches, leading to dirty dogs and potential slips.
  • Uncovered Holes: Occasionally, holes dug by dogs are not immediately covered, posing a tripping hazard.
  • Leaf Cover: In some seasons, leaves cover the ground, making it harder to spot and clean up dog waste.

Extras

  • Community Engagement: The park fosters a friendly community where dog owners share toys and engage in conversations, enhancing the social experience for both dogs and their owners.
  • Events: Periodic community events and gatherings are held, providing additional fun and engagement opportunities.

Rules and Community Safety

The dog park was empty, but the preserve area around is so big, perfect to walk your dog. Quiet too, so if your dog is well behave, you can remove the leash.

Do not pay attention to the pictures that people have posted regarding this dog park. It is simply about a 200' round pen the does have trees for shade and some grass and a water fountain. There is no Lake access there's no water access it is simply your typical piece of dirt with some grass. Here are pictures of the entire park so disregard anything that shows water activities or jungle gym's for dogs it is simply a fenced in pen

Well there is a fun time to be had by all. Kids and dogs included. The dog park is large and spacious. The kids park is less than 100 yards away. My children loved this place. The giant water tower like playground was amazing for my kids. The whole park is beautiful and very well kept.

Very big and nice clean area with 2 separate dog parks. Very friendly people. The amounts of trees give way to great shade in this Florida heat.
