Fencing
- Secure Divisions: The park features two large fenced areas—one for small dogs and another for large dogs, ensuring safety and minimizing the risk of altercations.
- Sturdy Construction: The fencing is robust and well-maintained, offering peace of mind for dog owners while their pets play off-leash.
- Gated Entry: Each section has a double-gated entry system, reducing the chances of dogs escaping when entering or exiting the park.
Distractions
- Socialization: The park often has a good number of dogs, providing ample opportunity for socialization and play, which can be both a positive and a distraction for dogs that are easily excited.
- Large Space: The open areas allow dogs to run freely, but can also lead to distractions as they explore the large environment.
- Shared Spaces: Despite the separate areas, some owners bring large dogs into the small dog section, which can be a distraction and cause concern for those with smaller pets.
Amenities
- Shaded Areas: Shaded benches and picnic tables are available, though more shade would be appreciated by regular visitors.
- Water Fountains: The park has water fountains for dogs, ensuring they stay hydrated during play.
- Agility Equipment: Some agility obstacles are present, adding an extra element of fun for dogs.
- Restrooms: On-site restrooms are available for pet owners, adding convenience to the park’s offerings.

Pricing

Cleanliness
- Well-Maintained: The park is generally clean, with regular maintenance, although some visitors note that grass cutting could be more frequent.
- Waste Management: While doggie bags are available, there have been complaints about unpicked-up poop, particularly in the small dog area, which detracts from the park’s overall cleanliness.
Hazards
- Dog Size Mix-Ups: The presence of large dogs in the small dog area can be a hazard, especially for smaller, more vulnerable dogs.
- Unpicked Waste: Uncollected dog waste on the pathways and in grassy areas can pose health risks and diminish the park’s appeal.
- Limited Shade: The lack of sufficient shade can be a hazard during hot weather, making it uncomfortable for both dogs and owners.
Extras Rules
- Weight Restrictions: The park has designated areas for dogs based on weight, with signs indicating that dogs over 35 pounds should be in the large dog area.
- Owner Responsibility: Owners are responsible for monitoring their dogs and ensuring they are in the correct area, though adherence to these rules is inconsistent.
Community Safety Rules
- Leash Policy: Dogs are allowed off-leash within the fenced areas, but owners must leash their dogs when entering and exiting the park.
- Clean-Up: Owners are expected to pick up after their pets, although compliance varies, impacting the park’s cleanliness.
- Supervision: Dogs must be supervised at all times to prevent aggressive behavior and ensure they are playing safely with others.
Bark Park is a well-loved spot in Miami for dog owners, offering ample space, separate areas for different dog sizes, and essential amenities. While there are some issues with shade and occasional maintenance lapses, the park remains a favorite due to its welcoming environment and well-maintained facilities. With a bit more attention to rule enforcement and upkeep, it could become an even better experience for both dogs and their owners.

7 months agoPerfect place for my dogs to run a round freely. This place was lacking canopy tents for humans to be protected from the sun. Throughout the years they added some which has made the park more enjoyable. Other than that, I do enjoy bringing my babies to this park. They have a blast every time.

3 years agoGreat park. So much space for everyone. Although the park could have more shade it's enough. With benches spread out and some obstacles, it's perfect. There are restrooms at the entrance and water bowl fountain for dogs to drink from. There's no poop bag stations. Definitely bringing my dog back.

2 months agoIt’s a nice park, nice people, but they don’t cut the grass. Whenever I go, the grass is very long. I hesitate to toss a ball because I don’t know if I’ll step on poop. My dog loves to run, but when I get home she’s full of stickers. Why can’t they cut the grass on a regular basis?
